The day they shot “Tongue Tied” Naya and Heather were likely hanging around set together all morning.  As with most days, they saw each other in hair and make up and then again in wardrobe as they slipped into their well-worn Cheerios uniforms.  They joked around and giggled like the goofballs they always are and were enjoying a conversation right before the kiss was filmed.  So when Naya mouthed “hey” and Heather grinned back with a “hi” they weren’t saying hello to one another.  They were remembering.  It had been awhile – too long, really – since they’d felt it, with  both of them having been tied up with boyfriends and PR, but the moment Naya dipped Heather and their faces drew close, the memories came rushing back.  And with two little words, they said it all.
“Hey, I remember this.” and “Hi, I remember it, too.”
“Hey, I missed this.” and “Hi, I missed it, too.”
“Hey, do you remember when?” and “Hi, how could I forget?”
Forgetting consequences and everything else around them, Naya and Heather said hello – not to one another, but to the soft, sweet, cherished memories of what they once shared.
“Hey, how did we get back here?” and “Hi, did we ever truly leave?”
“Hey, I could do this forever.” and “Hi, welcome home.”
